FINRA Arbitration Attorney
FINRA Arbitration & Litigation
Christopher H. Tovar has been a securities litigator for twenty years and has worked on more than 100 matters before FINRA, AAA, and in the courts in that period, both for investors and for brokers. Cases have included the full range of issues including suitability, churning, selling away, conversion, non-solicit/non-compete, corporate raiding, promissory notes and forgivable loans, and Dodd-Frank whistleblower allegations.
Our firm focuses on helping people in the securities industry. We defend our clients against frivolous investor claims as well as from the malicious acts of employers.
Usually, FINRA arbitral awards are the final word in a dispute, but sometimes an aggrieved party will challenge them in the courts. Christopher H. Tovar has also successfully defended his clients’ victories from vacatur actions in the courts under the Federal Arbitration Act (FAA).
Ultimately, we understand that what you really need is to never have to litigate. To that end, we work to keep you out of litigation and to resolve your disputes peaceably and amicably. Litigation-proofing your business from future disputes is a key part of what we do.
